Wedding roses.

Hi everyone. I was asked for a wedding card with roses and searched my stash for these ingredients.
The embossing folder is brand new (to me anyway) while the stamp and dies I've had for ages, the greenery and roses never used before!

Here's a close up of the rolled roses.

I wanted to CASE this card on pinterest,
I think it's by Crafts by Rudlis and it is so beautiful!

I'm linking up to these challenges.

Green watercoloured butterfly.

Hi everyone, I've had this diecut panel and a sheet of watercoloured paper lying around for ages and thought I'd combine the two for a card.

The diecut was layered twice to give some dimension. I painted some watercolour paper with Kuretake gansai paints and the gold flecks are from some gold Finetec watercolour paint.

I embossed the butterfly to add some more interest and added a sentiment sticker .
Here's another pic that shows the shimmer from the gold paint.

The challenge at Less is More is anything but stamps.
I often create cards with diecuts and sentiment stickers so this challenge is great for me!

At CAS watercolour challenge the theme is butterfly.
That's my other favourite image for cards!

At Seize the Birthday I've gone with the no toppings option of anything goes.

And at Addicted to Stamps & More it's also anything goes.

Supplies:
Memory Box ringo tiles border and Moonlight butterfly dies; Summer fun set embossing folder;
Kuretake gansai and Finetec watercolour paints; sentiment sticker.

Owl and tissue paper moon.

Hi everyone, I have a friend who loves owls and am hoping they like this card!

It's a similar design to one I created earlier this month, using crinkled tissue paper glued to a circle, sprayed with brushed pewter stain, then embossed with liquid platinum powder to give it lots of shine and texture. Loll has a great video tutorial on this technique.
The sentiment is stamped in versafine and embossed with fine silver metallic powder.

Here's a closer look at the moon.

I'm linking up to the challenge at The Male Room where the theme is mixed media.

At Addicted to Stamps & More it's anything goes.

At Poppystamps the theme is to add bling.
The brushed pewter distress spray stain, liquid platinum and silver metallic embossing add lots of sparkle and shine, so I hope that counts as masculine bling!

Butterflies on distressed timber.

Hi everyone, it's the end of the weekend and the end of school holidays for me.
I did get some much needed work done around the house and rested a lot, so I feel ready to tackle Monday head on lol!

I wanted to play along with the distress challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday. So I've used a few distress inks on this timber stamped panel and distressed the edges with a tool.
I decided on blue butterflies as this card has such a masculine feel. They are fussy cut and  coloured with inktense pencils.

I've used stamps, distress ink, inktense pencils, and my texture elements are distressed edges and the frantage enamel embossed sentiment.

I'm also joining the take it make challenge at Craft Stamper Magazine. The theme is anything goes as long as there is stamping on your project.

Take It, Make It Challenge

At Seize the Birthday I'm playing along with the anything goes no toppings option.

 Darkroom Door timber stamp; antique linen, pumicestone, weathered wood and vintage photo distress inks; Hero Arts antique engravings butterfly stamp; Stamplorations birthday die; versamark ink and aged black frantage enamel embossing powder; inktense pencils; happy sentiment sticker;
Tim Holtz distressing tool.

Distress Oxide Butterflies.

Hi everyone, these butterflies were diecut from a panel inked with distress oxides and gently spritzed with water. I like how the colours are soft and pastel.

I'm linking up to the CAS watercolor challenge where the theme is butterfly.

I didn't want to risk stamping on this embossed background, so I stamped and heat embossed on tissue paper and glued it onto the base with multi medium matte glue. Tissue paper is the theme at the CAS mix up card challenge, so I'm linking up there. (Not sure if my tissue paper is enough of a focus to qualify though.)

My elements are dry embossing and die cutting to go along with the stamping and tissue paper.

I'm also joining the anything goes with stamping challenge at Craft Stamper,

Take It, Make It Challenge

and the anything goes challenge at Bizzy Bec's Store Blog.

Tissue paper moon - go after your dreams.

Hi everyone, it's been ages since I've posted, although I have been slowly adding cards to my stash!

I wanted to play along with the latest challenge at CAS Mix Up card challenge where the theme is to use tissue paper. Loll and Bonnie have provided some great tutorials on this technique that were really helpful.

I scrunchled up some white tissue paper and glued it to a diecut circle. Then I sprayed it with some brushed pewter distress spray stain and sprayed some water onto this to dilute the colour.
I dried it with my heat gun then swiped some versamark ink over the raised ridges and sprinkled on some liquid platinum embossing powder. I used an old soft paintbrush to remove some of the powder before heating it with my heat gun. I love the veiny effect! I then used a Spellbiners circle die to make the circle smaller (this tidied up the edges nicely!)

I've used stamping, heat embossing, tissue paper, and die cutting as my elements.

Edited to add, here is a closer look at the tissue paper.

The branch and bird are diecut from  2 different shades of grey card, both scrappy snippets, so I'm also visiting the snippets playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop. I've layered them both onto a black diecut to add some dimension.

I've used Spellbinders circle, Poppystamps nestled bird and Memory Box  woodland branch dies.

Stamplorations CAS challenge has a challenge open while they are on Summer break so I'm linking up there too. The sentiment is from the Stamplorations Noteworthy set, stamped in versafine ink and embossed with liquid platinum powder.
